Jaeger-LeCoultre celebrates the timeless evolution of the Polaris Collection from its creation in 1968 to today, in the “Up with the times” campaign starring Global Ambassador Nicholas Hoult. From the red sand of a tennis court to the adrenaline-charged atmosphere of a race track and the infinite blue of the ocean, the campaign pays tribute to the versatility and enduring appeal of Polaris: inspired by the Maison’s legacy, absolutely modern, always in style.

Always Up With the Times captures the true essence of Polaris. While making this campaign I was transported to a universe where style and design meet the sporting edge of Polaris. The collection represents to me Jaeger-LeCoultre’s capacity to reinvent its icons with constant relevance through time.

CALIBRE
IN-HOUSE PERPETUAL CALENDAR
Entirely designed, produced and assembled within the Manufacture, the Calibre 868 incorporates the latest Manufacture innovations, it represents a true testimony of the expertise of La Grande Maison’s watchmakers.
TO BE AJUSTED IN 2100
A miniature mechanical computer, the perpetual calendar always shows the correct date, automatically adjusting for the different duration of months and even for leap years. It needs no manual correction until 2100.
A SIGNATURE COMPLICATION REINVENTS TRAVEL TIME
The Calibre 939 of the Polaris Geographic combines mechanical elegance with high performance entirely designed, produced, finished and assembled within the Manufacture.

A PERPETUAL DISPLAY
The Calibre 868 of the Polaris Perpetual Calendar automatically takes into account the months with 28, 30 or 31 days, as well as the leap years. The date, month and day indicators are at 9, 12 and 3 o’clock respectively, and the moon phases are at 6 o’clock – a retrograde display for the Southern Hemisphere framing a classical display for its Northern counterpart.
DISTINCTIVE LAQUERED DIAL
The gradient ocean-grey dial of the Polaris Date elevates the confident modernity of its design to a new level featuring the Polaris signatures of three different surface textures, and double-gradient colour finished with 35 layers of lacquer to create visual richness and depth. Subtle orange highlights add a note of sporty dynamism.
HERITAGE
A SPORTING HERITAGE BORN IN 1960S
In 1968, a new era was born with the launch of the Memovox Polaris, a watch housed in an unconventional large case, whose alarm function elevated the piece as an iconic diving watch. This distinctive fine watch was a bold statement of intent from Jaeger-LeCoultre’s watchmakers and the same sense of dauntless ambition and thirst for adventure continues across the Polaris collection today.
