Duometre
Quantieme Lunaire

42.5 mm - Stainless steel - Manual winding
In its vintage steel case and gradient blue dial matching the small-scale lined alligator strap, the Duometre Quantieme Lunaire showcases the Duometre concept in style. The sectorized dial is finished in a variety of styles: opaline (top of dial), satin-finish (center of counters), circular blue (around counters), and sunray (power reserves). On the reverse side of this complication watch, the twin-barrel Calibre 381 – one dedicated to indicating the time, the other to complications – reveals the mechanics of its finely decorated components: sunrayed côtes de Genève, chamfered bridges, blue screws...

MECHANISM

THE ESSENCE OF INVENTIVENESS

Introduced in 2007, the patented Duometre mechanism features two barrels and two separate gear trains linked to a single regulating organ. One gear train powers the time and the other drives additional functions, guaranteeing exceptionally high degree of operating accuracy.

PRECISE APPROACH TO AESTHETICS

The pursuit of precision is equally important for the beauty and finishes. On the deep blue dial of the Duometre Quantieme Lunaire watch, the long and very fine hands are a signature of all Duometre timepieces, as is the symmetrical layout, with three sub-dials forming an inverted pyramid. The counters show the time, the date and a beautiful moon phase set against a blue sky.

CHALLENGING DECORATIVE FINISHES

The approach to precision can further be seen in the finishing of the movement, visible beneath the crystal case-back. Demanding absolute precision, each bridge is decorated one-by-one with Sunrayed Geneva stripes, creating visual unity across the entire expanse of the movement.

REFINED OPALIN & SUNRAY-BRUSHED DIAL

Creating visual interest and contrast, the dial echoes traditional aesthetics featuring three distinctive counters. The opaline main dial has the very soft glow, while the lower section of the dial is sunray-brushed and the two power reserve indicators are distinguished by an opaline arc.

BRUSHED, POLISHED & MICROBLASTED CASE

The case is a complex structure of more than 30 separate parts and the lugs are screwed rather than integrated to enable the use of multiple finishing techniques. A mixture of polished, brushed and micro-blasted surfaces creates a fascinating play of light with every movement of the wrist.
