Refined and inventive, the design of the Duometre Sphérotourbillon watches is driven by the complexity of the calibre. These complication watches offer a subtle balance between finesse and tradition. MAKING COMPLEXITY BEAUTIFUL
The different counters displaying the functions have subtly unique aesthetic codes, reflecting the Sphérotourbillon. The quality of finish of the movement-blanks, expertly set with diamonds on certain declinations by the Métiers Rares, reinforces the impression of exclusiveness. With its characteristic Jaeger-LeCoultre "côtes soleillées" motifs, harmonious forms, clear-cut protruding and recessed angles, the designs of the Calibres 382 and 389 are the perfect embodiment of the fine art of watchmaking.

REVEALING ITS HIDDEN WONDERS
Decorated with mastery and infinite patience, Duometre Sphérotourbillon exude refinement in every detail. Like another stage in its discovery, the sapphire crystal case back reveals all the secrets of the movement. Adorned by hand by the artisans in our Manufacture, the movement is fully decorated with traditional techniques: the patented “Côtes soleillées” imitating the rays of the sun, blued screws and circular graining, all beautifully playing with light.
FUNCTIONS
DEFYING GRAVITY EVERY SECOND
The major feature of the Duomètre Sphérotourbillon watches is the multi-axis tourbillon. A fascinating spectacle is revealed by the cut-away dial as the tourbillon completes a rotating motion that is highly unusual in nature. As well as revolving around the axis in its titanium cage, the tourbillon turns around a second axis, tilted at 20°. The combination of these two distinct and rapid rotations (30 and 15 seconds respectively) enables the watch to defy the effects of gravity in all positions.
CALIBRE
A REVOLUTIONARY MECHANICAL CONCEPT
The innovative Dual-Wing concept features two independent gear trains in a single mechanism. The first one is dedicated to the proper functioning of the complications, the second ensures the precise measurement of passing time. United by a single regulating organ, two gear trains work in complete harmony to guarantee unparalleled performance and precision on these exclusive Duometre Sphérotourbillon watches.

From its calibre to its case, every Jaeger‑LeCoultre Swiss watch is designed, manufactured and assembled under one roof, at our Manufacture in the Vallée de Joux. Our obsession with quality is renowned as every Jaeger‑LeCoultre watch undergoes strict “1,000 Hour Control” testing.
This unique program provides internal certification tests that far exceed official chronometry tests. It includes movement testing before and after casing and extends throughout assembly, according to conditions that match daily wear. A quality seal is engraved on the back of every watch once it meets our strict standards.
