DESIGN
THE PERPETUAL DRESS WATCH
True to La Grande Maison’s guiding philosophy of marrying tradition and modernity, the Master Ultra Thin Perpetual Calendar watch embodies one of horology’s great complications in a fresh and timelessly modern style.
PRECISION IN AESTHETICS
Conceived as the quintessential dress watch for the modern aesthete, the dial epitomises this spirit of sophistication. Refined sub-dials make the day, date and month displays legible, while elongated hour markers, Dauphine hands, intricate starry sky on the moon phase emphasize this timelessly elegant design.

THE SOPHISTICATED CASE
Aesthetically seductive with its proportions – 39 mm diameter and 9.2 mm thickness – and elongated lugs, the polished case and bezel play beautifully with the light, highlighting the four dial variations, from the sunray-brushed midnight blue or silver to the classical eggshell beige dials.

FUNCTIONS
PRECISE UNTIL 2100
Among the most challenging complications to master, a perpetual calendar must automatically adjust for months of different lengths and for leap years. Unlike a simple date display, which must be adjusted at the end of every month that doesn’t have 31 days, this Swiss watch will not need any manual correction until 2100, which is a non-leap-year centenary.

RESOLVING THE ANOMALY OF TIME
The reason for the complexity of our calendar, with its leap years and different numbers of days in the months, lies in an anomaly between the way we measure civil time and the cycles of the celestial bodies on which those measurements are based. Our 365-day calendar year is almost 6 hours shorter than a solar year, which lasts approximately 365.2425 days.

CALIBRE
RELIABLE AT HEART
Entirely made within the Manufacture, the latest generation of Calibre 868 presents an increased power reserve of 70 hours, without adding to the thickness of the calibre. In line with the Manufacture’s constant drive for technical innovation, it offers a high reliability thanks to a new escapement and pallets, making the energy transmission smoother by reducing friction of the moving parts.

CALIBRE
HERITAGE
A LEGACY OF MASTERING THIN CALIBRES
Already renowned for its complicated pocket-watches, the new challenge of the twentieth century led Jaeger-LeCoultre to make one of the most prodigious collections of ultra thin calibres in watchmaking history.

MADE IN OUR MANUFACTURE
From its calibre to its case, every Jaeger‑LeCoultre luxury watch is designed, manufactured and assembled under one roof, at our Manufacture in the Vallee de Joux. Our obsession with quality is renowned as every Jaeger‑LeCoultre model undergoes strict “1,000 Hour Control” testing. This unique program provides internal certification tests that far exceed official chronometry tests. It includes movement testing before and after casing and extends throughout assembly, according to conditions that match daily wear. A quality seal is engraved on the back of every watch once it meets our strict standards.
